An introduction to Modern Calligraphy, Imogen's popular workshop teaching the basics and providing you with all the kit you need for your modern calligraphy journey. This course is perfect for anyone who'd love to create beautiful snail mail, up their wrapping game, or to start a new and relaxing hobby. Workshops take place across the UK, in London, the Midlands, and South West. Please note that once you have booked onto your preferred date and location, this experience is non-refundable. This does not affect your statutory rights. In this workshop you'll learn the basics of Modern Calligraphy with experienced tutor Imogen Owen, author of the book 'Modern Calligraphy Workshop'. Starting with learning the basic principles of pointed pen calligraphy, and constructing basic forms, you will then go on to put these basic steps together and work on constructing letterforms in Imogen's signature style, before going on to create words and start looking at how to develop your own style. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW Suitable for complete beginners. Suitable clothing is advised, whilst the experience isn't messy, the ink can mark. You'll get everything you need to start your modern calligraphy journey including a full calligraphy kit and tote bag to take back home.
